Perhaps he meant fine-cast?
Love that set btw, I was fortunate enough to get the metal version when they first released it

i got that set too, except all the swords had broken off in the box somehow... never did get around to finishing them...

I got to know this hobby only about 3 years or so ago and in that time, LotR was pretty much dead in my area. My first box was the "Escape from Goblin Town" (L.E.) that showed me I had missed out on something.
Then the madness started ;)

Well box 1 got here yesterday and I have to say I am more than pleased with the quality of the books and miniatures, they look great assembled and I cant wait to paint them up!!!

Good luck with the painting. Just make sure before you apply the primer that you've washed them in hot soapy water. Otherwise your paint may flake off due to oils on the models.

My first purchase was 24 goblin warriors..(Off ebay)....I dont know why I bought them I dont even like their play style but anyway got me into the hobby. :)

Everyone has some goblins hiding away, I have a moria one an old mate left at mine years ago, only found it after we had drifted apart.
