Shelob Discussion(also vs spider queen)

Im thinking about getting one but I dont know if its any good. I see its rules, but the whole idea of running from taking one wound is absolutely terrible to me! Anyone ever seen one of these work?

Also, compare with the spider queen!

I'd vote Spider Queen. I like the while progeny rule. Makes trapping easy. And the monstrous cavalry charge bonus is beautiful.

I'm one to agree with the spider queen as a better choice, cheaper from what I remember and more attacks but less defense. You just have to be careful with her and not expose her to bow fire early in the game.

Shelob has been good for some people in the past and from what I've come to understand she's a good hero killer, although I've never used one or come up to one personally.

Shelob is 25pts cheaper than the spider queen. Both are effective when used well, I've seen them run through armies quicker than a hot knife through butter. I've got Shelob coming so might use her at some point.

I just see shelobs rules and I wanna use her so bad but I see that special rule and its horrible....and one attack....idk...I want to try it out but fear major fail.

Shelob's more of an expensive support hero in terms of fight value. However, with the advent of heroic strike she has gotten a significant nerf. Still, S7 and venom, not too shabby, specially when on the charge.
