Hunter Orc Army

I've recently got into the hobby and was wondering what I should be adding to 12 hunter orcs to create a viable 500pt Azog's hunters list (at a reasonable cost) also can people give me some painting tips as I don't really like GW's colour scheme. All help will be greatly appreciaed

Two more boxes of Hunter Orcs + Yazneg, Fimbul & Narzûg.

That'll give you a strong list, or you could replace one box pf hunter Orcs for a box of Morannon Orcs and one of the heroes for an Orc Shaman, if you want some more variety.

or he could convert a bit the morannon orcs and play as gundabad orcs :P

Look up the website a tale of painters and go to the lord of the rings section they did the hunter orcs recently. They are nice.

Furthermore for cheap prices money wise, if thats what youre talking about just convert one of your hunter orcs to a Hunter Orc captain. Thats absolutely the cheapest you can go as you already have it! And their stats aint horrible.

Also thematic. Check out the painting section of this forum its full of useful information.

Thanks for the help and I'm guessing element games would be my best shot at getting them for a reasonable price ?

Which independent store, online or not, which offers the cheapest, will vary frequently, just search around and you may find the best possible price

Yeah I wish I could show you my hunter orcs but Im not near them. I will be in a few weeks if I remember would you like to see? Their unpainted but I made the captains look different.

I actually used legs that fit from another company they look more beastly and are taller than the rest.

If you want a Hunter Orc Captain and a mounted Narzûg you can do a swap, where Narzûg's torso is added to the Mounted Hunter Orc legs, and the Hunter Orc torso is put onto Narzûg's legs. Your Captain will stand out because 1. its standing partially on a rock, 2. it's got almost unique legs, 3. it will have his chest covered, rather than bare, 4. you can give him unique heads and/or arm - if you use the arm holding a mace, you will get a commanding pose too. And you've converted 2 models and have wasted nothing. That's what I did.
