Whats with Golfimbul?

So I just remembered this guy...im trying to pick him up from someone....but I thought...whats the deal with him?

Does he have stats? Hes under Moria? Is he legal to play?

He is OOP, used to be in the old books, but has been removed - so no longer able to use...
...however, most people now use him as a mounted captain, for local games I am sure you could field him with the old stats :-)

Where can the stats be found? Posting them now wouldn't be illegal anymore I think...

I think there in the scouring the of the Shire book, someone should have a copy!

Yeah Id like to know the stats if anyone could give them. I dont see them as illegal since they technically arent sold or published.

And furthermore, why did they just can a character? Thats horrible.

He is in the Scouring of the Shire book indeed (not too surprisingly).
Nothing too special, an orc captain on warg with a 5 point discount, who has his Fight and Courage values swapped, and loses a Fate in favour of an extra Will.

Firstly "Golfimbul" has his own blister, than GW replace it as an "Orc captain ft&mounted" . This is only model with 2 x OOP
Think it is realy nice miniatures with this devil horns on helmet

Could someone let me know how mant times GW replace blister names for the same model (eamples) ???

I used my one once in a battle, he was pants. He's designed as a low grade hero to be a match or preferably beaten by Bullroarer Tooke in low points Hobbit/Shire themed battles.

I remember someone once making fun of Khamul's name and humorously wondering whether the other Nazgul were named Myule, Elifant and so on.

The fimbul part just means great, the golf part was intentional. The fact that the name sounds like "golf ball" is apparently accidental.

Not sure about cheesy names, but boy he does take the mick in the silmarillion when half the names have fin- to start with.

Whats with Golfimbul?
