So
far I know the opposition army will contain: Faramir, Warriors of minas
tirith and probably some Minas tirith captains. Maybe some rangers.
Any tips?
I will be playing elves. (lothlorien + mirkwood)

Mate... There aren't really any tips to beating a force that simple. You outfight them, out shoot them and possibly out magic them. Just secure a strong point and fire at him while he advances. Use terrain to your advantage and it should be simple. And don't forget the objective either.

No joke I chuckled at seeing this title. You hardly need to do anything. Gondor is a team that's easy to beat and hard to win with.

Have your bows target the lower defense units e.g. rangers, have your elven heroes target their weaker heroes, get your bows into combat when the lines collide to boost your combat numbers. Just a few general tips there.

Serious suggestions.......when you do your deployment try and deploy your archers across from him, far from his ground troops, but in range of his archers.

Then deploy your ground forces NEAR but not close to his.

Draw his ground forces away by retreating yours a few times but away from your archers.

Shoot his archers to pieces with yours and lead his close combat troops away. You should have no problem beating his archers. Once his archers are done, draw his close combat troops towards your bowmen and shoot him up. When hes finally small enough in number, and you have him on both sides, launch all your troops into him. He should either be broken or close to it by now anyway.

Get what Im saying? Dont shoot at Faramir. Waste of time. Take out his regular archers

Really? Other than all infantry rohan with swords, Gondor are easy to take down. Let him come to you.

In all seriousness, how to beat armies is something only you can learn. There is no fool-proof way to beat armies. Hints and tips from da interwebz may help to a certain degree but I wouldn't take them as gospel. Learn how your army works best and then apply it to the scenario.

Elves are the best archers in the game I would utilize that. Legolas is a beast and with only 2 wound heroes on that Gondor force he could easily get you a leader kill.

You also have a fight value advantage. Your basic troops have a fight value equal to all of those heroes. Your heroes will be on top but if you would rather use archer heroes then maybe adding just a couple Guards of the Galadrim Court.

If you have Thanduil I would utilize him for that Natures Wrath. It could really change a turn that you might be in a bad situation and give you that edge. If your opponent is very bow heavy you may want to consider Galadriel for the blinding light to negate his numbers advantage.

It's all kinda preference. Knowing your play style and how you think tactically is very important. Build an army around your style, play your best and may the blessing of elves, men and all free folk go with you.
