Alright, basic stuff here guys.

750 pt army. Im playing evil and I have no clue what he'll have its just a friendly game. Im gonna keep this list no matter what, but id still like criticism/ideas for next time I do wood Elves.

Thranduil
12 Galadhrim with Shield and Elf Blade
Legolas with armor
12 wood elves with bow (5 have spears)
Tauriel
9 wood elves with spears
1 wood elf sentinel
Haldir with armor and bow
6 wood elves with spear
2 wood elves with spear and armor
1 wood elf with bow

My idea is Im gonna be out numbered. I have 20 bow shots per turn. I have a lot of might-12.....and the unit count aint horrible. I have 47 models.

Im going to take a large block of Shielded troops and spears, natures wrath and double tap all them guys after I use bow fire to thin the ranks.

The main idea is just about my whole army can shield.....so this way I can survive, run, shoot etc.

Hmmm some stuff here is rather curious

I dont think Tauriel can lead wood elves (although I haven´t read the new book entry related to old models mixing with "new" mirkwood models)
In case that dont allow to mix, you gonna get way less models than you expect.

Again Im curious to know why thranduil goes with galadhrim, if youre using the old model variation, its way more worth it to get elves upgraded to palace guard, 2+ shooting (3+ on the move) its really relevant, its a good diference bettewn 10 hits to a D7 model like a mordor troll and a fair good chance to kill him in 1 volley fire.

Yeah Im not sure about Tauriel but its a friendly game should be ok.

As for the Galadhrim. Theyre the highest defense elves can get so they can stay alive longer. Well need numbers. The bows are good, but eventually, were gonna reach combat, and then theyre useless. The galadhrim will still be worth it.

I would definitely drop the elven blades off of almost all of your elves. I think a couple can be useful but going two handed is only really good when you can gang up and ensure you can win the fight but with elves you're almost always going to be out numbered so its hard to make that happen. I would suggest taking wood elf spears on everything. Since they've got the high fight being able to shield, get more then one dice is really important for the low defense elves to survive. Lastly, I would take Legolas over any of the other elf heros but certainly over Haldir.

I could have I guess. I really didn't take many elf blades but it worked out anyway. I never used them two handed is all.

And I had enough pts to take Legolas. Of course I'd always take him first but I had enough pts for both!

I did end up winning and legolas and thranduil alone won the match without help from Tauriel mostly.

Oh sorry I don't know how I missed Legolas the first time through your list, my bad. Glad it worked out!
