Eorl the young

I was looking over eorl's profile and noticed that is def is 6 yet he is a hero in heavy armor with a shield. Does anyone know if this is an error or is eorl's def a base 3 as opposed to a 4 like nearly all other heroes in the game?

Eorl's profile was adjusted in the Kingdoms ofMen Sourcebook Update Version 1.1.

He is now Def. 7

And there was much rejoicing, yea! Was his def changed only? They didn't boost his cost did they?
