So, Mauhur FINALLY arrived!

Finecast is bleh. However, I need the model for Throne of Skulls, and I just haven't found one on eBay or the trade forums here, so I bit the bullet (reluctantly!).

I also think his topknot was stupid, so cut it off and carved in a bit of hair texture where it was.

I've finished the Ferals. I didn't enjoy painting them- too annoyingly ragged and fiddly without actually being detailed.
So I still have some characters to paint, and then pretty much done with the Uruk Hai.

But here's something else for Throne of Skulls:

You know what'd be a great idea, 2 weeks before Throne of Skulls, and before my army is actually finished?

To make a display board I don't need.

What'd be an even better idea? Two display boards!

So, good weekend's hobbying, AND had a picnic on Sunday.

Berserker progress with base "battlefield detritus" painted. I am happy to call these 100% finished now:

Likewise the Ferals. I really didn't enjoy painting these. I don't know why exactly.

I have four more which need the skin highlighted, and i may do a final shade on a few which I think need it. I only need two of the four i haven't finished for Throne of Skulls.

Two of the four Warg Riders I will be taking. Not the best paint jobs on these: mostly dry brushing and inks.

So I have Worm, Mahur and both display boards to finish, then I am all set for Throne of Skulls!

Thanks all! I'm happy with the metal too, although they're not the best of photos. Anyway, speaking of which, here's a very unimpressive picture of Worm. It's actually not quite as Devlan Mud as it looks, but it was a qickish job.
