Is anyone on here into rugby? I mean proper rugby too, none of that league rubbish!! :o With the Aviva premiership final coming up hopefully there'll be someone who shares my enthusiasm.

I'm from NZ but not much of a rugby fan. I watch a few games of super rugby.

I don't really get a chance to follow professional games, but I'm scrum-half for my high school team :-D

Just Six Nations for me - nicely managable in terms of # of games, good atmosphere and one of the few things broadcast here...

The Netherlands.

Now, I am aware of some.. online streaming services that may or may not allow one to watch sporting events broadcast on a variety of channels, but unless it's a specifically interesting match, tis generally not worth it as the quality isn't great most of the time. Luckily, the BBC broadcasts the Six Nations, and 1 and 2 are readily available 'here'.

The NZ public is tuning out from rugby. Too many silly off field antics. Others think its too dangerous for their little boy and have them play some other sport instead.

Love rugby and the league form too myself.

The problem with NZ rugby is the crowd atmosphere. Its non existant. I kid you not you can be at a game with 30,000+ all blacks fans and you can pretty much hear a fart on the other side of the field.

Change the sport to soccer {foot-ball} and all of a sudden you can't hear anything other than wild chanting and ya-hooing the whole game.

Its weird.

The weirdest thing I ever experienced at a rugby game was both sides' supporters singing "swing low", the song England fans sing. Must have been a boring game!

Finally another Rugby fan. I grew up playing and watching rugby here in Australia, however being the son of Irish migrants the only Australian team I support is the Brumbies in Super Rugby. I do watch alot of Rabo pro direct, Heineken Cup and 6 nations obviously I support Ireland at international level and Leinster. Do you play at all?

Well The County Championship final was last Sunday....

That's Union, not that weird League thing...

Unfortunately Cornwall didn't manage to win, even though Cornwall treat any final at Twickers like a home match, as the fans outnumber the opposition 3 or 4 to one, and aren't backwards about making a big deal of it!

Yeah I do play, I've actually played at Leinster's ground on a tour to Ireland. I haven't played this season due to injury but hopefully come September I'll be good to go. I'm still buzzing that Saints won the premiership!!!

Well I dis covered football (soccer) and its just way better. The atmosphere at Rugby gamed (in NZ at least) is so bad.

The Wellington Phoenix (soccer team) who I support has about 10,000 fans make more noise than the rugby world cup final crowd of about 60,000. Ok slight exaggeration but we wouldn't be to far off.
