Wanted to get sort of mix bettewn Balin and Dwalin at the reclaiming of moria, surely dwalin would helped his brother at the 1st fight of moria east gate, before departing with some of his garrison to the blue mountains for rulership knowing his brother had secured a way inside moria...

Warband 1

6 dwarf warriors with shield
4 khazad guard
2 iron guard

Warband 2
Floi Stonehand
4 dwarf warriors with shield
7 dwarf rangers with longbow
1 dwarf warrior

Warband 3
Dwalin
3 dwarves of erebor with shield
9 dwarves of erebor with spear

total 600pts
might: 7
models: 39

It's a nice theme. I'd be tempted to take only spears with the erebor dwarves to allow them to support your other Warbands

thats a good idea... how least give large mmajority spears and keep just 2 or 3 with shields just to hold back and protect some vital targets as getting as many shields as possible is always good while heroes and iron guard to the killing :)

I'd drop the rangers with longbows. Dwarf warriors with bows are just as good and cheaper. With the points you save give as many Erebor Dwarfs as possible both shield and spear for some flexibility.

I love DLB's ppl are always forgetting about their better range. I know you lose some strength but I like the range and accuracy bonuses

A regular opponent plays dwarfs, and we have observed that they work best when they're all together, isolated groups of dwarfs are easy to pick off, especially rangers. They're likely to recive the brunt of enemy bow fire as they will be taken down easier. being within 18" to use a dwarf bow isn't too bad becuase it means you are closer to the action and can prove just as useful in a fight as any other dwarf warrior agaisnt the majority of opponents.

just a though as it brings your whole force to at least defence 6, and could provide some adittional spears and shields for the rest of your warriors.
