note that half are webstore exclusives, so GW will be making more profit off the swords and spears. Bows, which we all know seem to be the focus of trailers, are available through places that many get discounts. Sounds like a strategy to me, for good or bad who knows.

Why are all the faces absolute garbage? Thranduil, Legolas and Tauriel look nothing like their film counterparts.

Having just bought an atrociously cast Bolg and refused a refund, I will not be buying a single one of these finecast figures. If they brought out a single plastic kit I would get it, as I will also be grabbing the DoS plastics too.

Another slap in the face from GW...

I'd keep complaining about that Bolg tbh. The expense is only 'justified' by the "quality". No quality = not fit for purpose.

It was a close up of Legolas' constipated face with the caption "Kill Me" :-)

Since I haven't posted in a while, I'll just pop up to say yes, I am still alive, and no I will not buy any of these Elves, even though Thranduil and the Mirkwood Captain look stunning.

Also, is it just me who first mistook the Captain for another Thranduil sculpt?

The captain does have more in common with Thranduil than the actual Thranduil mini.

Also, the lack of proper zooming and absence of 360' views sucks. Some of these figures could be awkwardly or amazingly posed with dramatic or stupidly exaggerated features (looking at you Tauriel and Thranduil on foot), but not being able to see them from any different angle doesn't help here.

I still hold out hope that we'll get some plastic for this release, but it is now just a faint one, sadly. The laketown set in particular, since there's no good reason not to release it - speaking of which, in the WD images it looked like there was another plastic ruins set behind the Elves. Not the gondor set, it looked Daleish. God knows what's going on at GW towers.

I've taken another look at those photos but I'm pretty sure that it's just a kit-bashed Ruins of Osgiliath terrain set, painted in slightly more Daleish tones with more red-brown and weathering added to the stonework. May be wrong though... It would be very cool to get a couple of terrain sets from this final film...

Very interesting indeed... 170mm Oval bases? Is that bigger than a Mumak base?

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to this Thorin's Company release. It looks as though this will be the Armoured Company, rather than the ones we saw in the Rulebook in 2012 because Throin has the subtitle "King Under the Mountain". I expect him to be in the Thror armour we saw him wearing in the trailer. That should therefore be awesome!!! :)

Exciting times for the Hobby I think...

So I didnt know the prices were for sure on the leaked stuff. All I have to say is a mounted and foot Thranduil is now $45???

They will not get ONE PENNY. This is outrageous. How are the prices rising again? How did the price from a mounted and on foot model from the previous hobbit set with the same exact finecast go up another $5?

These people are out of their minds.

Lmao and the pictures of the sculpts on there site dont even look that good. Thranduil which was going to be a purchase doesnt look too sharp.

A tank of gasoline doesnt even cost me as much as a finecast hero..............and people die for gas on this planet...my God.

Wow, is petrol really that cheap in Chicago, or does your car just have a really miniscule tank?
