I still not decided what to play at the next tourny in germany which is 450 points. I'll field a evil (goblins) and a good army so I'll only play good vs. evil or evil vs. good. Here are three list I got nearly all models and I think they are sufficiently strong

Gondor:

Saruman the Wise (leader)

Denethor
6 Warriors of Minas Thirit with Shield
6 Rangers of Gondor with Spears

Cirion
6 Warriors of Minas Thirit with Shield
2 Rangers of Gondor with Spears
3 Warriors of Minas Thirit with Shiled and Spear

I like this list. It has high defense in the front rank and mostly F4, a really good wizard, two mid class heros, adequat model count. The problem ist it only got 6 points of might and nothing that is able to hit really hard. By the way of cause Denethor and Saruman the Wise is a nice combination.

Woodelves:
Galadriel Lady of Light

Thranduil with Elfbow and Armour
6 Woodelves with Woodelfspears
4 Woodelves with Elvenbows

Rumil
2 Woodelves
5 Woodelves with Woodelfspears

I really liked the combination of Thranduil and Galadriel, Protectress of Lorien, but never played it because i feared ringwraiths. Now with Galadriel, Lady of Light it should work even against (one) ringwraith. So all my models will cause terror and this is necessary, because of my low defense and model count, leading to the problems of shamans who will avoid it and I don't really got anything to deal with it. I thought about adding Legolas instead of Rumil, but this would mean even less models.

Treebeard and friends:

Treebeard (leader)

Gimli
6 Dwarfs with shields
4 Dwarfs with shields and dwarfbows

Erkenbrand with horse

Is there something cooler than treebeard?! The model count is low, I know, but I have a really strong monster, Gimli, who can hit really hard with piercing strike, Erkenbrand for mobility (maybe catch a shaman or something like that) and his horn (C6 dwarfes and C9 Treebeard) and the warriors will tank (or kill knoked prone models) until my heros destroyed the enemy.

Do you think one of the combinations will work and what would you change to get the best out of this lists?

why dont you get white council at 450pts? Its not all that impossible and should prove usefull....

Although you cant field Saruman the wise, Galadriel lady of light and Elrond, lord of the west since the combo goes at 475.

Thats around 450pts

You necessarly got no problem vs monters as saruman can immobilize, galadriel anti wraith and generally galadriel is nasty to neutralize spells, saruman also and got resist magic and glorfindel also got resist magic.

the full white council list would be swarmed by troops and saruman and galadriel would be killed.

the woodelf list looks about the strongest list you could get for that points size
