So i have decide to dedicate this month to Rohan to finish a small force of them, many models and even more conversions with so little time.
Sadly i have lend my camera to my brother so all the pictures are from my phone so its not the best quality.

Forth eorlingas! enjoy!

First, as promised 3 more helmingas poses and after a request the axe throwing helmingas from a close up and behind (the only connection with the body and the throwing axe is a small wire on the backside painted like a rope)

2 rohan outriders and kings huntsman ready and currently painting 2 more outriders that will be ready by Monday (one mounted and one more on foot)

Now to my currently under work projects, warriors of rohan.
I tried to make them thematic to match up with the captain of rohan and to add some detail on those old models.

Image

And still under progress and a lot of time preparing their shields, westfold redshields. (the one with the rider is ready for painting, onlyy need to attack the shield)

Looking impressive. I like your conversions and want to see more as well as seeing them painted.

Love the Helmingas. I might steal a few ideas for myself.

Aside from the loads of rohan i have painted ready for photo shooting but still waiting for my camera to be returned so i can upload some decent pictures, here is another project i have been working the past days.
Easterlings tribesmen!
Inspired by Tolkien quote ''Fierce bearded men carrying axes''
I use them as the normal model (mordor uruk hai) in my games for Mordor allies to Eastern kingdoms but wanted to also match the theme of my army.

These are the first 3 ready and i am currently working on the Captain but i aiming to atleast 1 captain, 1 banner and 6 warriors.

They are 95% ready for painting, just need so more filing to some parts

I'll second that. I really love your efforts to make new, unique and very original (if I may add) units.
Would like to see if you've come up with some profiles for these.

@abcdefg & paliouras Thank you very much both for the boost :)

Right now i am painting them but i am really having a hard time choosing the right colors as the armor is golden/brass (to match the easterling theme) and red clothing will give them too much ''royalty'' for a barbarian troop.

As profiles i currently use them as regualr mordor uruk hai allied to my easterlings to be ok with tournament rules, however like the many other project units i am preparing a full guide slowly (veryyy slowly) to many additions to all armies with new profiles :)

I would have never had this idea, it is brilliant! They look very fierce and match the description wonderfully, beautifully done! 8)
For the colour scheme I would go for the black one. The red and brown aren't a good contrast to the skin and armour...

Rhun has always been by far my favorite themed army, i finished painting Amdur, a 2nd warband of easterlings and 2 new unit conversions.

I cant thank enough for all the awesome comments and support that i have been getting for those conversions. Sadly time is my enemy and i cant finish all that i have in mind. Anyway slowly some shall be done :)

First on the list are the blade dancers that i had made 1 long ago but now finished them by adding 2 more. I wanted to give the feeling of an elite mysterious fighter to match a more of a berserker profile but more based on fighting skills than strength.
I know my poor sculpting skills dont do much justice on the hoods and thic affects on painting aswell :(

Next up are the easterling tribesmen. Inspired from Tolkiens quote ''Fierce bearded men with axes from the east'' from pelennor fields. I felt like they had to be more barbaric and brutal than the rest of the easterling warriors that fight in formations and phalanxes.
I plan to make another 3 of them and a command (captain and banner)

Image

Image

Image

Finally finished Amdur, took me a while as i found the mounted versions had many undercuts and needed a lot of cleaning before actualy painting.
For the moment i am testing this half black/red clothing and hope to get it better in time. I plan using it on all easterling heroes.
Also i tried giving him a magic effect on his blade as i like the idea of bladewrath from the easterling war priest.

Image

Last is the 2nd easterling warband i finally finished painting. Of course i need to convert a lot pikemen as 2 per box is really good for a phalanx based army. I am still trying to learn how to paint gems (on the shields) but my attempts have not been so good so far :)

Image

Now i am working on some Kataphrakts and then a warband of archers.
Just started assembling them so i will upload some wip photos very soon.

I really like the blade dancers. I wonder if you could modify a leg so it bent in like some kind of kung-fu pose?

Love your work on the Easterlings, especially your own sculpts and conversions which not only fit into the range but also add some variety.
