Since this campaign has launched, Dwarven Forge has added a ton of stuff. Almost too much stuff. The main focus is building a city, with Modular buildings. But they have added Streets, sewers, battlements, figures. So you can really customize the Kickstarter in a direction you want to go.
The best thing I think they have launched is Battlements. Now you can make very modular castles and forts.
These are meant to go on previous Kickstarter Pieces, but if you don't have those, you can order the pieces with this one.
This is the base piece. It was also in KS2 Caverns as an Add-on pack
I made a test build to get an idea of what you could do to build a castle. I used just Wall pieces(without crenelations) to get an idea.
Some pieces are not painted yet.
Here I quickly made a Front gate out of balsa wood.
Here is a different tower configuration. Since you have to support the floor pieces if you don't have the foundation piece, I used pink insulation.
Seems the Uruk-hai are missing a ladder
Only had enough pieces for one big tower.
D&D bendy plastics guard the wall
I came up with an idea for a bigger Gate House
Take a look at the Kickstarter, There is so much you can do with Dwarven forge game tiles it's crazy. Not cheap, but cool as hell.
