Great to see our beloved hobby get some attention! The sculpts look great again.
The Mumak kit seems like a clever expansion on the existing model, very nice indeed! I'm curious to see if you can buy the upgrade pack separately from a Mumak though, this is not yet clear to me.

I'm looking at picking up a few used, battered mumakil of ebay. What is different about the upgrade kit other than the mahud?

The trunk is different, and the tusks have spikes on them. Also, the ears might be different (with the rope pins), or they might be just small details to glue on the normal ears.

New trunk, and I think new ears. Probably more but I can't tell from the photo.

So either cut apart an existing Mumak to add these parts or buy a new one? Plus having to glue on 13 spikes? Why I like the idea, think I will pass on this.

I'm totally getting a second mumak. I think this release is to begin preparing us for the battle of the Pellenor Fields. Exciting.

So it appears they won't release the upgrade kit on its own? I own two Mûmaks, one of them is missing tusks so I was hoping I could just get the upgrade kit and fortify that miniature. Spending 75 pounds for a third Mûmak is a bit much for me, though I do like this release as it definitely makes a cool miniature even cooler.

At least there will be spare regular tusks to complete your other one

It’s a shame they are not offering the upgrade kit separate but I’d expect nothing less from Games Workshop. I have 3. Looks like I will have 4.

I feel the same way about the tusk spikes. I think I would drill little holes to seat the spikes and add the glue that way, hopefully they would be a bit more stable. There is always the old school option of drilling through the tusks and using skewers.

Some of us own no mumakil and would be super excited to trade for one, with/out crew. I trade primarily in Hirst Arts, but also have lots of rare metal minis, some still in blisters. PM me if you want to cull your herd.

Same here. Was hoping for a separate upgrade kit. I have three Mumaks already. Do I really need a 4th?

I have 4 Mumaks so I justify getting 5 as I can then field them in a spearhead formation :-D

Will we be getting an armoured Azog foot and mounted? Any thoughts?
