Was in my local GW shop yesterday, complaining about the total lack of anything LOTR in this month's WD. The chap behind the counter sympathised, then said that this imbalance would be rectified in July. Something big and plastic is coming out, with some similarity to recent big Warhammer releases. Angularity Jnr thinks it could be Grond, but I have no clue. Any wild-a$$ guesses?? |

Yes I'd heard there was something big coming out soon for lotr. I'm afraid I've not a clue what it is, and am struggling for guesses. |

Have we fallen for the "Keep buying, there's something really good just round the corner" trick? |

Well, if we're just speculating, A plastic dragon/smaug? I would think they would wait until the Hobbit part 2 is released, but... Grond doesn't seem like a particularly viable game model although it would make a great display piece. Terrain doesn't seem like it would warrant any particular hype though it would be much welcome. Plastic Artillery, able to build a catapult, ballista, or trebuchet? That seems a stretch. Angularity wrote: Have we fallen for the "Keep buying, there's something really good just round the corner" trick? Like we need to fall for a trick to keep buying. |

Well, they just did a bunch of orc and goblins, which included a big spider, so maybe we will get a plastic spider queen/giant spiders that could be converted into shelob and come with some extra spider swarms? Perhaps some plastic mordor uruks? |

Angularity wrote: Was in my local GW shop yesterday, complaining about the total lack of anything LOTR in this month's WD. Yeah, that wasn't the first time that's happened. I used to get WD every month religiously, but not any more. But if that staffer was honest, that's a real win for us and none too soon in coming I'm holding out for Angmar and wizards, or some big plastic kit. |

To be honest, I have a major doubt that it will be anything particularly life-changing to the game because July is when Storm of Magic come sout, which is an Apocalypse style equivalent for Warhammer, focusing on big magic and big beasties. Apparently several BIG plastic kits coming out for all armies and the developer of the models has been working on it for several years. Not to mention, July is a supposed release date for Tammurkhan: Thrones of Chaos, a Warhammer Forge campaign book (whcih is probably irrelvenat to Games Workshop's release schedule, but oh well). |

Rather a dissapointment, but I think this is the big news... and its not plastic: Games Workshop's quest to create the best quality miniatures in the world is about to take a huge step forward... On 28th May we are launching Citadel Finecast miniatures to the world. Don't miss the full announcement on games-workshop.com on the 23rd May to find out more. Be sure to be at your local Hobby Centre to experience this unique, once-in-a-lifetime launch day! This will be your first chance to see, touch and buy Citadel Finecast miniatures. In the meantime, there's only one question you need to ask yourself: "What will my first Citadel Finecast miniature be?" 10-61 URUK-HAI WITH CROSSBOWS £14.00 10-62 URUK-HAI BERSERKERS £14.00 08-61 GOTHMOG (PELENNOR) £20.50 05-60 ELROND AND GIL-GALAD £15.00 10-60 SARUMAN AND GRIMA £15.00 02-60 GANDALF THE WHITE £20.50 04-60 ARAGORN (THE BLACK GATE) £20.50 04-62 THEODEN (HELM’S DEEP) £20.50 04-61 BOROMIR (ITHILIEN) £20.50 09-60 SULADAN THE SERPENT LORD £20.50 08-62 THE DARK MARSHAL (RINGWRAITH) £20.50 05-61 DAIN AND BALIN £15.00 08-40 THE DARK LORD SAURON £25.50 08-42 GULAHVAR THE TERROR OF ARNOR £30.00 08-43 MORDOR TROLL CHIEFTAIN £25.50 02-40 THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING £37.00 Look at the prices |

Wow. If my computer is correct, then (approximately) 14 pound= 16 dollars 20.50 = 23.50 15 = 17 30 = 34 ...et cetera. That's amazingly good for GW |
