So the new pics of the DA's were leaked today, take a look at the top corner of this image:

I can see two boxes, it looks like a set of 2 eagles, and then a set with just gwhair in?

Is that a peak at January's WD? Looks like I'm guessing one fine cast Gwahier and a box of plastic eagles? I'd be nice if he was plastic too

Alright, that explains why the Eagles weren't in the February release lot... Under the second box you can see a very thin outline of another picture. I'm thinking finecast clampack.

Which brings us to what's left from the films:

Click to: Show
-Rivendell Knights (pictured in the rule book) *February*

-Armoured Elrond, ft and mtd *February*

-Lindir

-Failcast Great Goblin (pictured in rule book, throwing Goblin) *February*

-Failcast Thorin & Co (pictured in rule book, not sure whether they will be released individually, in pairs/threesomes or all as one)

-Fc Radagast (pictured in rule book, possibly with sled) *February*

-Riderless Wargs (leaked pics taken down from GW's site) *February?*

-Dwarf Grimhammers (pictured in rule book) *February*

-Azog

-Yazneg (pictured in rule book, but no profile. Possibly to be released as Hunter Orc Captain, or not at all)

-Dwarf Warriors of Erebor (similar armour to Grimhammers, but armed with shields and either axes or spears)

-Gundabad Orcs? (simple conjecture based on the Orcs in flashbacks not being Hunter Orcs)

-Thror and possibly Thrain

Anything else I'm missing? Obviously
Click to: Show
Great Spiders, Mirkwood Elves, Thranduil and Smaug will be for the next film.

So there's gonna be a release virtually every month then? That sounds good.

I have refrained from closely reading Hurin's post since I haven't seen the 1st film.

It's nothing too spoiler-y. Nothing we haven't seen in the book or trailers anyhow. I'll put tags up though.

Eagles! The eagles are coming!

Any guesses as to the prices? I'd assume the same as the plastic Mordor/Isengard Troll

I'll be picking up at least two no matter what

Brilliant find, I have a the original metal eagle, great model, enjoyable to paint.
Any idea what the clam shell will be?

Will be nice to see some more animated eagles than the original metal one :)

It looks like the eagles come in boxes of two, I'm hoping for £15-20 if it's one, and £30 for two

I've blown up the original picture. The bottom one looks like a hand holding a weapon of some sort:

Also the eagle box suggests 2 eagles in the box.

I'm excited about the eagles but will really look hard at the quality AND price. The eagles simmuskhan found and is using are my new baseline. I was going to see about ordering some but wanted to give GW a chance, if only because of the off chance the Hobbit may rekindle them to actually support official tournaments in the North East USA. Literally...no other reason of loyalty.

Looks good, sounds good, maybe the Eagles will apear on my desktable(if my wallet agrees). One year(some months more or less) left till The Armoured Mirkwood Elves, with the awesome looking Thranduil will be released. Woodelves with armo(u)r! Finally.

Please let them be affordable... The way GWS are going these will be way too much for what they are... Come lower the prices and get people playing and collecting again!!
1/2 the price and I would buy hundreds of figures!!!!

Yeah...I still have 2 boxes of WEs unpainted (got them when going for a 2000pt WotR Mirkwood force) but would really like to get some armored members of the force rather than pulling in Galadrhim (which I like...but there's a lot of them around in other people's lists).

Some people think that the bottom one is gwiahair (sp :o ), the yellow being his beak and the rest being one of his wings.

The bottom pic is definitely Gwaihir. You only have to compare the pic here with the photos on pages 81 and 243 of The Hobbit rulebook to see the similarities.

So let the speculating begin... how much are the eagles going to cost? The trolls were $85 so I'll set the mark right near there at $75.

Probably $70 for a normal eagle and $75 for Gwaihir.
(of course this is my money pinching side speaking)
