Hmm, I do not know what these guys will end up being, but we will definitely be seeing them in the future. |

Hope to see miniatures like them in the future, they look awesome and would be really nice as the core of an dwarf army! But what are the Grimhammers then? They are also dwarves from Erebor right? |

They're the ones at the battle where Azog got his arm cut off. |

We actually glimpse a few of these guys before Smaug shows up in the flashback sequence, if memory serves. Grimhammer is just a name GW appended to the heavily armoured dwarves. They'll probably end up being "officially" known as something else by mid 2014, just as "Haldir's Elves" eventually became Galadhrim. I can imagine we'll see heavily armoured exampled of Durin's folk in miniature form in the future - and maybe reuse of older Dwarf miniatures to represent dwarves of the other six kindreds. |

The will most likely have anew name in years to come and this particular box set may phased out for a different set like Hadlir"s elves. |

I doubt the Grimhammers will be phased out, unless they come out with boxes of 6 for $20 soon. |

"Grimhammers" Is actually what they are called, Weta describes them with that name, and explains they are the vanguard of the Erebor army, in the art book. Erebor Dwarves have the same armour and outfit, just different gear. Of interest, the Grimhammers design was originally for the Iron Hills but was changed in favor of something else. aelfwine wrote: We actually glimpse a few of these guys before Smaug shows up in the flashback sequence, if memory serves.
