First of all this isn't just a huge ploy to get you to buy from Green Dragon Games. This is the result of months of discussion and contribution from many members of the onering community. We recognized that White Dwarf magazine was both extremely sales orientated and also featured a distinct lack of The Hobbit/LOTR content. A result of all this is the new, revamped and shiney looking Green Dragon newsletter. Here it is: http://us5.campaign-archive1.com/?u=3281daa938006054da5c4097a&id=f729c75226&e=ed241d0621 The email version includes the top-right menu featuring links to all the content mentioned, so thats your reason to subscribe right there. Which can be done on the green dragon games homepage over greendragongames.co.uk - fill out your email in the box halfway down the page to receive the full and proper version each month. For everyone else, here is the breakdown on content. - Green Dragon Games New Helpdesk - Editor's Letter (viewable in the link above) - Review: Warriors of Dale & Thror by one-ring.co.uk member Arkenstone, worth a read! He even puts the prices in dollars! - Battle Report: LOTR - "Battle for Buckleberry Ferry"by one-ring.co.uk member Celevue (actually links back to his campaign on here but he put this together in a rush to get it ready for the newsletter deadline) - The Hobby: An Unexpected Journey - Article, an amazingly written piece by one-ring.co.uk member "Thermo" - Project of the Month: Magnetized Predator Tank - this one is by myself but can also be found here on the one-ring forum under 40K, very useful how-to kind of guide - New Releases: Tau Empire - Standard information as you might expect - Last Stand (Special Offers etc also viewable in the newsletter itself above) - We've found this section to be rather popular. And of course work now begins on May's newsletter! Hopefully we'll send it out right first time rather than mailing out a duff link to all our subscribers (sorry about that!). If you want to submit anything shoot me a PM or an email and we'll get it in there! Its fast growing thats for sure. Thoughts and comments more than welcome, I know that all of our contributors want feedback on their articles. And just to clarify, this doesn't cost £5.50 . |

Great stuff Steve and an honour to be part of it! I personally would love some feedback on my contribution so it would be great to see lots of one ringers signing up and giving it a read and firing me some critique. Afterall, I have all of you to thank for getting me involved in this hobby! |

It's an excellent idea that you've totally delivered. I was thinking the other day, whilst reading some of the comments here about the sad state of WD these days, that it would be great if the community here could make their own fan-driven version akin to the way WD used to be. It needed someone with your vision to make it happen! I can honestly say I've spent more time reading your newsletter than the last few WDs combined, and derived alot more pleasure from it too. The battle-report (which I missed when originally posted here) was awesome. Thermo's contribution was interesting and amusing (will this be a regular column - if so I want to know how your girlfriend felt when you decided to give up your time in the office.... only to spend it painting minis! Which army are you buying her for her birthday this year?). If I ever get my Moria Board finished and written up I’ll offer it as a contribution. Can I suggest the title “Red Giant” as an alternative title!? Thanks again. I look forward to the next issue. |

Elliedoc, really glad to hear you liked it! It seems the objective is beginning to be achieved. I'm still peeved about the duff version being mailed out - but the full version is well worth a look. I'm sure Thermo will be delighted to hear your feedback and hopefully - for my part - I would like to make it a regular monthly column. I like your idea "Red Giant" there and thats certainly something I'm going to bear in mind as it evolves - I welcome more suggestions and contributions, and I think I might even consider evolving into a PDF format magazine with an index and formatted like it was a published item - whats the feelings from the forum on that? |

Actually, call it "Spots The Space Marine". Oh, hang on, I think someone else already has a valid claim to that title. What about "Eric the big insect space soldier"...? |

Thanks for the feedback folks! @Ste check your junk inbox just in case and failing that enter your email once more on the box halfway down the homepage - it might not have transferred over to the new system. Same goes if anybody else struggles with it I guess. |
