Does anyone have any concrete intelligence on this? Are we going to have to wait till late November for the Desolation of Smaug Minis? |

I'm pretty sure we're going to have to wait, but I don't have anything concrete to back that up. I'll be very surprised if we get anything else from AUJ. |

There's still the Finecast Thorin and Company other pose (as seen in the rulebooks), but that's about it as far as I know for Unexpected Journey. |

The Men of Dale have shown that rules not being in the rulebook doesn't have to be an objection, although I doubt they'll release more models that way (mostly because there isn't too much left). It's pretty much a matter of alternatives I suppose - the aforementioned Thorin's company, as well as those on pony, Lindir with armour and/or on horseback, Radagast mounted.. finally a Gandalf the Grey on horseback again.. and we may well never see all of those produced. Or perhaps we will get that 2' tall mountain giant anyway! |

[quote="Coenus Scaldingus"]The Men of Dale have shown that rules not being in the rulebook doesn't have to be an objection, That's a good point, I wish that they had release a set of rules for Yazneg perhaps in a similar way, or through WD. I suspect that we will see it published in a DoS hard back rule book? |

Coenus Scaldingus wrote: Or perhaps we will get that 2' tall mountain giant anyway! But please in finecast, so that GW can sell them for.. let's say € 500 per piece ^^ Bilbo wrote: That's a good point, I wish that they had release a set of rules for Yazneg perhaps in a similar way, or through WD. I somehow doubt that Yazneg well have an appearance in any of the films, as he was meant to be, what Azog is now... doesn't mean his rules can't appear in one of the following rulebooks, but i doubt it somehow. |

They have said that they are going to release rules for him somewhere on the FAQs page. |

Do you think they will bring out smaller source books for the next two movies to include the new scenarios, and new character stats? |

Rognarr wrote: I somehow doubt that Yazneg well have an appearance in any of the films, as he was meant to be, what Azog is now You're right of course that Yazneg was the original design for Azog but he's very much in the first film! He's the warg captain that chases the company to Rivendell, he won't be in the other 2 movies because Azog fed him to his wargs! Great model though, hoping to paint him for September's painting challenge. |

Yazneg was in the first film already, he's the orc who leads the chase at the start but he is killed by Azog and then replaced by Fimbul. |

Yazneg was pretty noticeable in the film, and his death was used to cement Azog as a really bad guy, as well as the irony of his designs rejection off screen in favour of the later giant white orc, literally destroying the old, weaker design on screen! |

Of course he had an appearance in the film, even if he did not live too long. Dunno where my mind had been when I wrote that he didn't appear ^^ |

Great dynamic image. I have painted him up but havn't used him in a game yet as I would like to use the propper rules when they are published, as well as having his unit of mounted hunter orcs yet to finish. I generally prefer waiting till a unit is fully painted and can hit the enemy with a bit of a punch rather than introducing models in dribs and drabs. |

They said we'll get rules for Yazneg but it's probably gonna be in the Desolation of Smaug rulebook, which will probably cost another £50 The current FAQ says to just use him as a hunter orc captain with the option of a lance for 5pts, but that seems a bit boring to be honest haha. |

Indeed! I hope that there is some sink or swim special rule pushing him to take risks with some sort of punishment for failure, and a drive too succeed. |

About the whole 'will there be a new hardback rulebook' question: My GW store employees said, while they don't get all info on future releases, they were allowed to state there won't be a more definitive, new rulebook like the current big rulebook, in the future. The employee then hinted at journeybooks and the likes. I hope that's true. |
