good job, i know most people will be pleased with this as they dont know where to find a cheap and effective storage kit. i have a suitable one but this has inspired me to make one for my brothers elves as he has close to 120 now....i think this is great for all mini players good job!

thank you for this great piece of info. i am just having the problem that the one GW case i bought is full and i was wondering if one could make one yourself at a reasonable price and ability.

the guide is well done and i guess i will make my own box soon esp now that i can add the dice etc in one box :-)

I might have a go at making one of them, my orcs and goblins take up all my current case.

Its a great article, shame I recently forked out for the GW cases, and I rarely have the opportunity to go to games so many of my minis are dispalyed

A simple cheap and effective way of making a storage case for minis. I like the idea though I do not game much these days but i am sure many will find this very useful.

Very simple, cost-effective transportation and storage. Only thing is, I would need about 6 of them....

Nice work Morgul_King ... a useful edition to the library and i'm sure it will come in useful for everyone, not just gaming members. The sheer volume of figures that some people have means you need somewhere to put them if not displaying them. Open shelves can get dusty or are open to accidental damage from other family members, pets etc, whilst your box will keep them all safe and sound. :D

Its great to see an article that steers away from the major cost that this hobby lands on us !

Great stuff !

Nice article, for a great idea.

I bought a few of the GW cases, including the fairly new larger one with the shoulder strap, but they've never really suited my needs. Custom is the way to go, I know that, and will be trying my hand at something like this at some point. I like the dice in the extra compartments, very handy that.

and I like the title of the article ;-)

I got a GW box with one ebay auction and found the size far too small for minis with longer weapons. (I have not gone gaming yet, so it doesn't matter me). still, preparing ones own case is the better choice and your guide simple and straight.

but, maybe stupid question, but wouldn't it be easier to take a thick sheet and glue thick stripes horizontal and vertical onto it, ( cut half way at every few inch(s) to put them together where they meet?

I think this is a good article overall, but I do have one question.

What about the mounted models? How do you make a case to hold them. I play Rohan and so I have many mounted models. They don't even fit in the case that you made, I just wondered if there is a way to make a case for them. I'm moving soon, and I would like to make one soon.

Nice idea - I too will definitely make one of these when I go to mynew school in September - I'll need to carry them around on my way home (via my local GW :D ).
