A very well detailed and illustrated article, and the results are very good. I like the basing on the finished mini.

However, I will stick more or less to the method I have used as I noticed that armour and other items of clothing on the Dead retain some of their living colours in images from RotK - examples are below:

In daylight, they are closer to your colour scheme:

But I like them as they appear in the dark, when they are even more frightening, hence my take on it:

But, once again, very well done on the article!

Its funny that we have had consecutive Army of the Dead articles. Another well presented guide, easy to follow and a neat technique for painting in large numbers. This is an excellent method but it would be interesting to see what a pale blue/grey wash over the armour would look like. I prefer seeing lots of detail in minis but this technique is the perfect start to any army of the dead, great job! :)

I think your colour scheme works well. It is so much better than the first scheme that GW came out with, which made the warriors look dusty. You have certainly achieved a more spectral look.

Dorth's images are interesting and the contrast between how the warriors looked in the dark and how they looked on the battlefield was something I'd not noticed before. I may be adding a little more silver and gold to mine, but subtly.

Nice article.

I really enjoy the variation in paint jobs people come up with for their Army of the Dead, and your brightly painted ghostly green is very well done!

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the pictures Dorthonion, I look forward to seeing your version of them in the darkness.

 Lorderkenbrand, Nathans article was totally unexpected for me so it is a mere coincedence :)

Thanks again for the feedback guys
