At £20 for the set of 16 these are pretty good value.

I love GW's foundation paints, but prefer Vallejo for standard paints, so these are a must-buy for me.

I saw these on a brochure but my local craft store does not have these yet. When you have tried them, please let us know how they compare to GW Foundation paints.

I have used the heavy sienna and chardonite granite equivalent. The only thing I noticed is that the vallejo foundations do not tend to separate (as much?) when diluted. To be clear, when I dilute the GW foundation line with water 1:1, even after mixing, the paint separates into different phases of color very quickly. Example, chardonite granite separates into what looks like brown and dark grey/black. The vallejo did not do this or it may be less likely to spearate. I did not leave it in my palette long enough to see if it did eventually separate. It actually seems more like their model color line just not as thick. I also really like vallejo paints. Hate their white primer but their paints are great.

Those are pretty cool. I hope the hobby shop here where I live gets some of these.

What is the difference between these and the other Vallejo paints?

Are these just more opaque?

And are they slightly different colours?

wow, all that for £20
16 gw paints at £2.50 each would cost £40
