I am soon to paint the Weathertop Aragorn model but am not sure how to do the flaming torch or the light thrown from it. My only prior experience is with painting blue magelight, and that only involved drybrushing repeatedly. If anyone has any advice or tips, please do not hesitate to send them this way! I would be very grateful! |

I use this method to paint fire. Basecoat white Ink yellow Drybrush light orange Drybrush darker orange slightly lighter than the previous drybrush Drybrush red - again lighter than the previous stage drybrush black just at the top of the flames. Water a little bit of white paint down (2 drops water to 1 part paint and paint a tint bit of white at the bottom of the flame where it is closest to the brand. Quick and easy but looks effective. Good luck. |
