Hey, I've got a question.
When you apply varnish and let it dry, what happens when you give the models another layer of paint?

cheers

Nothing as far as I know.... I've done it plenty o' times when I've forgotten to paint a certain section of a model.

Nothing in particular. In fact, a lot of painters who use oil washes, pigment weathering and other such fancy techniques varnish their models in between stages, so that they can remove effects they do not like without damaging the paint underneath.

Other people use a gloss varnish for protection, and then matte varnish over the top.

Should not be an issue, it's a recognized technique for priming soft plastic figures and one I've used successfully in the past.
