Post subject: | Not quite 50, but 4 Shades of Grey |
Hello all, Was looking for some advice on what shade of grey would be best for me. I've narrowed it down to four different greys, Citadel only as I prefer their paints = Dawnstone Warpfiend Grey Eshin Grey Stormvermin Fur I'm looking for a grey that is quite warm in it's appearance, with a hint of brown or purple about it if possible. I'm hoping to shade it with Nuln Oil and highlight with Administratum Grey and Ceramite White, so I need something in between the two. I hope someone can help as I've been investigating this for about two weeks, looking online at pictures and tutorials using the above colours, and I've even looked at the paints in their pots, but obviously without painting with it alongside my other colours I've no idea what the finished outcome will be. Hope someone can help, many thanks! |

Any similar images of the effect you're going for? |

Almost identical to the white used on this Commander Farsight miniature for 40K's Tau, except my grey will be brighter, almost white. The tone of grey in this picture is where I hope mine will be before I start highlighting with Administratum Grey and Ceramite White. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... od2000047a |

Hello all, just a little update. I no longer need assistance as I recently trialed some paints at my local GW (the manager was busy painting and I asked to try his colours out) and decided that Eshin Grey was the perfect shade I needed. Barnsley Burglar = Thanks for the help you've given though! |
