So I've been thinking of starting an expansion thread for the new BC with warbands yet to be seen. I'm going to start with Woses; The basics are,
Starting Warband, 7 woses, spear and blowpipe
reinforcements 1-4 1 wose warrior 5-6 2 wose warriors
special rules a woses warband may go upto 20 models instead of the normal 15
then I'm just stuck on what unique character upgrade to give them; my thoughts are one of the following..
- 8" move - move half and still shoot - treat spear as also a shield or two handed weapon - support at full attacks - some support bubble rule to provide a bonus to fight or shoot value
Any suggestions welcome and any thoughts on warbands you would like to see?

I can understand your inclination to raise up some of the more limited factions to warband status but I think some are simple to limited. Much like Dunharrow and Fangorn, the Woses are a secluded and regionally fixed group. I think they would work far better being either a map specific feature or AI-like enemy similar to the barrow whites in the haunted ruins. Perhaps this could be extended to have them function as allies or enemies in a narrative campaign.
If they were to be rolled into a regular battle company they they surely but be given as an elite reinforcement or faction specific upgrade, like the hound or local scout, for Gondor and Rohan. Failing that, I think it would be best to introduce a veteran system in place the warrior promotion so that each warrior would be able to increase in rank from novice to hunter to veteran. Each of these ranks might be accompanied by some special rule, including the returning of the Woses existing rules that would be removed from a novice, that allows a player to wide up with an elite company without having to introduce new models outright.

Agreed with Wan Shi Tong, I think it'd be more interesting to create some further profiles than to have a horde of identical little woses running around. When you'd play against a small low-defence force, your 20 blowpipes also won't be much fun to face.
Could easily create a small range of thematic profiles. The basic 'novice' could be a wose without blowpipe and Elven cloak, then the normal wose, followed by perhaps ranged (hunter with bow) and melee (two-handed weapon) elite profiles. A substantial part of the fun in Battle Companies comes from promotions and having individually recognisable people in your warband, so having those options would be great. Could also incorporate their magical statues perhaps.
