Hi all, I have in my head that I used to have files for High Elf and Wood Elf warbands, that were from GW. I might be making stuff up, but either way, does anyone know of any elven battle companies that GW made rules for? I now the new release is due for Christmas and all, but an idea of what to expect would be handy as my girlfriend might be trying it out. |

There were Rivendell, Lothlorien and Mirkwood warbands. All three used Woodelf Warriors as the basic option. Rivendell upgraded to high elves, Lothlorien to Galadhrim and Mirkwood to Mirkwood Sentinels. I guess the new rules will include later models such as Rivendell Knight, Mirkwood Rangers, etc. |

I think the basic wood elves will only appear in the Lothlorien Battle Company per the Battle Company "bundle" on GW's site. Lothlorien https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Lo ... mpany-2017 Rivendell shows Numenoreans, but I think that's only because they come on the same sprue as the sword and bow elves. If I remember right, either on one of the Twtich TV intereviews or in one of the seminars Adam Troke said Rivendell elves will not upgrade to anything and will only get Rivendell Knights on the special reinforcement list. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Ri ... mpany-2017 Thranduil's Halls looks like it starts with armored Mirkwood Elves and Mirkwood Rangers, and there was a tiny pic posted in the November White Dwarf that had Thranduil's halls on it and I squinted real hard at it and I think they start with 2 mirkwood elves with sword and shield, 2 with glaive, 1 with bow and 1 ranger. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Th ... mpany-2017 |
