Hi all,

I recently joined Facebook, and realising that there was a massive group devoted to Warhammer 40K, but nothing to LOTR SBG, decided that something must be done about it. So...the group 'LOTR SBG Lovers Unite!' (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=39440165784) was formed.

I would emphasise that this is meant only to be an Appreciation Group...i.e, showing how many people really do play LOTR SBG. It is in no way meant to detract from this, or any other, site, and in fact the very first post - and soon the description - gives links to a number of community sites (including this one, of course!) that you should consult in case of any questions.

If you're a member of Facebook, and would like to show your appreciation of the game, please join! It's probably not worth joining Facebook just for this, but if you're already a member, it won't take more than a few seconds to join...and then you can rest content in the knowledge that you're showing anyone who wants to know that it's not just W40K that has a large, dedicated following.

Thanks,

SD.

Wait, isn't Facebook, Bebo, myspace etc used solely for trying to pick up chicks?

Why would you want to let them know you are a grown man still playing with toy soldiers?

:P

Refer to any woman as a chick and the least of your worries will be what she thinks of playing with little soldiers...

I thought that was only Myspace and Bebo  Facebook is the uni students tool of procrastination over here.

Precisely the same, by and large, over here in the UK...that's why I finally deigned to join this summer...

Besides, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't resort to the internet to find a girl, whatever the site... :?

Well, you'll gradually get more and more classmates on there, so you can start a little back-and-forth banter with some of them. Dazzle them with your wit :P
