Okay, everyone. The purpose of this thread is to determine what we will be painting in the December Paint-Off Competition. This is a short poll because December is already sliding past. The poll will run until midnight on Sunday, 6th December 2009. If you vote for a miniature that has multiple versions, please make a post to indicate which sculpt you are voting for.

I voted for Gandalf the Grey (Fellowship of the Ring).

As did I. Mostly because I've already got the Gandalf Model converted and ready to be painted.

I voted for Glorifindel, because I'm expecting one in the mail as compensation for a seller screwing up an order of mine. :)

I voted for Elrond, as I've got one of those ready to go and he's a very nice model IMHO. It seems likely that most people would have him as well. :)

I voted for Gandalf the Grey (fellowship of the ring) since I've just undercoated the model (MoM version) in order for it to be painted.

Voted for Aragorn. I still wanted to paint Aragorn(weathertop) cause it's a pretty cool model with that torch

Looks like Gandy the Gray won. Would I be able to enter with Gandalf the White instead? :)

Thanks,

Okay, everyone.

Gandalf the Grey (Fellowship of the Ring) has won this round of voting. That means that this sculpt (the foot version) is what we'll be painting this month. Now, as the rules of the thread state, it is strongly suggested that you paint the exact sculpt as they rest, but if you are unable to do so, then the following replacements would be acceptable (in order of preference):

1. Gandalf the Grey (Fellowship of the Ring)
2. Any other version of Gandalf the Grey (i.e. Breaking of the Fellowship, Gandalf on Cart, etc.)
3. Any version of Gandalf the White
4. One of the Istari (i.e. Saruman, Radagast, etc.)
5. A miniature primarily swathed in long, flowing robes (i.e. Círdan, Galadriel & Celeborn, etc.)

In this way, everyone should be able to find something to paint, but hopefully, we will all be painting the same miniature, or one very similar to it.

Thanks for your input, everyone. I look forward to seeing the results of this competition!

I'll be starting a poll on the January miniature, so that people can go ahead and start planning any purchases, if they are necessary. Also, I will start the actual December Paint-Off thread in just a bit.
