Hey everybody :)

So lately I've been looking at people's work on the WIP section, and I've been thinking....Maybe it's time for some articles :-D Reason being that there is some really great hobby stuff being done around here, (I'm sure many of you know of JCoo's harbour terrain, among many others, the winners of past Painting Challenges perhaps, MacGothmog's painting thread, those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head) so members might consider writing and submitting articles to expand our already amazing archive.

I know that only quality material is accepted, so this is why I've mentioned it- If there is a reasonable amount submitted, overall there should still be maybe one or two that are accepted, Which is of course better than nothing :D

I do realise that we all still have to get on with real life, and that's fine :) I'm not forcing anybody, that would be stupid. But just think about it...

Especially since the boss (Dagorlad) has mentioned improving the forum sometime in the future.... It would be good to coincide with more articles!

What do you say?

I'd be very surprised if anything I did made it into it.

I wasn't even aware there is a way to write new articles for the knowledge base yet?

It is about time I got started on another article, but even so I will wait until the site is 100% back to normal rather than submitting one now if there is a way.

RC there is a 'new article' button you can click under the various categories :)

and there's not much thats really stopping you from writing the thing though, is there? :-D Im glad that you've decided to submit one however.

Oh I see.

Well no but I'd still like to wait until everythings finished so that should there be anything added to the submission system (different formats and layouts etc.) I can make the most of them in any articles I might write.

Now the question stands on what mini to write my article on?

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8531 Take your pick. :) as you can see from the thread there is quite a few missing...plus you could add one for a model where one already exists of course.
expect one from me as well in the future! :D

Thank for the link but I've already looked through that thread for ideas

Good luck with your article if you do write one up!

I don't know if my painting standard is good enough for articles, but it's worth a shot. I've got a couple miniatures that could make for some good articles, so we'll see.

I’m in the same predicament as Jake. It’s probably about time I did another article, but I will probably wait until the software updates are complete, so that my formatting looks good. As a former proofreader, presentation and formatting can be the difference between an okay article and a great one.
