so I started playing around with this app from Autodesk, it's called 123d catch and it stitches photos to generate a 3d model which can be exported for a variety of applications. Here is one I did this weekend of the Argonath book end, my plan is to print it out larger for terrain piece http://www.123dapp.com/Model/Argonath-Right/2357948 the app is free and i'm pretty excited on how well it works! has anyone else played with this app? I would like to hear your experiences |

At first sight it looks good, but I think it won't be cheap. But I would like to see it if it comes to life. (The Erebor environment is much more interesting for me.) |
