Wow , they look amazing, especially liking the fact that the Mirkwood spearmen's spears are all one piece and are not two parts, I.E a hand has to connect to the spear. Also that box is massive, I've ordered three full warbands of these elves and Im so glad I did now looking at the sculpts. Hope you enjoy putting them together and ill be following your progress of putting them together! If possible could you give me some close ups of the spearmen sprues? |

Well, I've seen Thranduil and the horse and the mirkwood knights, as a matter of fact I've got them. Regarding the Knights: not only the heads and necks are different. The sword arms and the legs are different too! I've already made some different poses. One has bit of a balance problem, though. |

Regarding the cavalry, while I do like that the two sword-arms, knight heads, horse heads and right legs are interchangable (not sure if both heads connect well with both frontlegs, but there shouldn't be much of a problem if there is a gap), I did indeed expect entirely different sculpts, as is the norm for any other model I can think of. Although some variety can thus be achieved, the fact that the left legs, tail and cloak are exactly the same will be noticable, sadly. |

Somebody has themselves a MirKwood army. Hope you have the Rangers and Palace Guards to go along with them, a full Mirkwood armada. |

*laughs* I actually have those yes, I think I have all the Mirkwood figueres that were released in lat year's batch. I'm not a little elf-obsesed at al lol I'm glad to hear there is some more difference between the cavalry as well. Seeing how the parts could be interchangeable, I could see some another of that set coming this way in the long run. Stros006, sure, I can make close-up of those tomorrow |

Where's tauriel? No ape faced she elf for you? Okay, in all fairness, I'm sure the tariel on the gw site is just poorly painted.... So poorly painted.... |

Aye, really looking forward to seeing either alternative paintjobs, or pictures of an unpainted resin Tauriel - curious how much better (or worse, could it be?) it is than the plastic version. |

The cavalry looks very nice. I'm glad I chose Wood Elves for the Tale of 20 Painters. -- Pasi |

I wanted to be a good girl and not order everything in one batch. So I left Tauriel and the sword man out of this order. Needless to say, I failed. Tauriel and the swordman are still on their way now Housemate got tired of me going on about them lol The faces from the batch I have here are quite better than the ones on GWs site, so I guess Tuariel is suffering for the same issues. When she arrives, pictures will come. |

If you can somehow paint her face to look like Evangeline Lilly that would be a plus for the model. But I'm pretty sure it's the sculpt and not the GW paint job. |

the new elves are indeed stunning ive got a few of m, the knights when assembled will need sum gapfilling though..my parts didnt line up as nice as id expect..but should be managable..but out of the entire bundle, not one miscast or lack of detail or anything. im very impressed |

Yes, I find the quality very nice too, there's a lot of detail in them and no real problems. Gaps are a thing with my cavalry as well, and mounted Legolas has quite a bit of this issue too. At the moment, I'm happy I can paint a decent looking face! Painting a face to someone's likeness is still one step ahead of me, if I will ever manage doing so at all lol |

At least make Tauriel feminine unlike that lousy paint job on GW. |

Just curious, but with only 3 poses per troop type, is anyone converting some of their spearmen to hold a different pose? I am going to pick up a warband of them, but I don't think I want four copies of the same guy, three times! |
