Sam is the primary character of the books, actually. And yes, he would have kept going if Frodo was eaten. :)

Well, you try carrying around a 100 lb weight around your neck and not fall over. That part was accurate (once they actually got close to Mt Doom at least).

I most certainly do not blame Frodo for being weak in RoTK- that is completely understandable. However, he had a greater amount of character strength in the books for the Fellowship and TT.

I prefer film Faramir to book Faramir.

Sam was a much br person than film Frodo, he should've got eaten, I would have actually cheered in the cinema if that'd happened.
