10 years ago today, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring premiered. How is everyone going to celebrate this? I'm gonna rewatch it (EE of course) and play a game or two (hopefully) in the next couple of weeks. Also, who on here saw it in theaters? I was only 8 when it hit theaters, so I didn't see it til after Two Towers came out on VHS (HA, VHS). Then I read all the books, including The Hobbit, in 1 month and eagerly awaited The Return of the King. |

the administrators of this site "one ring" should do a special event in January in celebration of 10 years  [edit] In any case, if there is no idea ... they could create a topic for the members here who have any suggestions or ideas for the month of January, to celebrate 10 years |

Ah, I missed the FotR film when it came out, first one I saw at the cinema was TT. Didn't watch 1st one till it came out on VIDEO after watching its first sequel. |

I was only 6 at the time.. I saw it on an outdoor theatre in a car. I think I fell asleep haha. I'm a little dissapointed that GW didn't use this asa way to promote LOTR but oh well. Now i get the feeling of time passing. |

I was 9 or 10 years old, and now I'm so glad my dad dragged me to a theater to go watch FOTR.  I remember being severely spooked by Bilbo's gollum transformation thingy. xD

My dad also lead to all this... The first game ge bought for ps2 was Lotr TTT( althought he didn't know what game it was as he doesn't know English)... Fate wanted it that way

Anyways, I'm really surprised that GW didn't rerelease stuff in plastic/release the unreleased minis in WotR for the 10th anniversary. Hopefully they're saving it all for the release of The Hobbit. |
