Creating your novel...

So you write your story...book...novel...
But then i was wondering how can you publish it...
So any ideas how you can turn your novel into book form and make it ani=aivable to be bought from people...

I don't know how to publish it.. maybe you should go ask somewhere where they sell books and such

maybe even in a library, you never know!
But may I ask, what will your novel be about? You made me pretty curious now.. would you mind giving your fellow one-ringers a little idea? :oops:

I have writed the story of the FIRST novel in few words and i just started to add the details so i have not write pages yet...
Anyway i am in Greece (althought i am gonna write it in English)mm and i don't know where shoudl i publish it...
In my country or In England/USA cause in England or USA it will be more easy to be sent to more countries... :-D

Drumstick...If my dream come true and i am gonna publish it you will be one of the first to get it... :wink:

Choose the USA then, its much bigger than the country I'm in and unless your JK Rowlingg or DB shan for eg, you won't have much look. I won't either as I'm not rich and I'm of mixed race.

That matters to the publishers. You have to look the part. They would generally look down on you otherwise, even though they usually don't mean to.

Well screw them. If they can't identify a Unique Selling Point when it walks into their office, they don't deserve to make any money.

Each human has his fate... There are many people with high fanatsy outside who are bored to write or others don't publish their books...

Good luck with it. It is a hard slog and be prepared for criticism rejection, writers block, dead ends and frustration
And write whenever you can as well as redrafting. Always read your stuff, aloud if you can. I dont read that many fiction books but my girl does and she is quick to point out my errors

I have restarted my own novel that began life as an A-Level story (lost the original copy) and some poems (the Lost Tales of Thellian Goldhelm and Thaddeus Greybrow) that is set in a world created by a whim of an assembly of Gods who then cast lots as to whether they intervene with their creation. They populate it and nurture it and then when the peoples are sufficiently evolved they debate intervention. They agree to disagree and a civil war is averted. However, one faction, angry at their denial of being able to play the roles of gods, rebel and start to cause problems for the world (much like how someone kicks an ants nest for the sake of it).
This leads to a war and the expulsion of the good faction who go down to their world and hide. The evil side also come down and become demigods and hunt the goodies. The world then learns the way of war and the peoples who had once lived happily with one another begin to fight. But this is just back story

My novel starts many many millenia after this when the evil is expelled but remnants remain and men summon them for power and gain. However, one man awakens a god who changes the fate of many and threatens the entire existence of the 3 kingdoms (Vengard, Lungard and Fairgard). Part one is the lost tales of Thennial Goldhelm, daughter of the King of Gwyndhol and her brother Thaddeus Greybrow. Book 2 is the tale of Morcrison and book 3 is the tales of Lungard and King Narr. The general gist is the growing belief that there is another realm within the world, sort of a back door code by the gods that mortal races cabn live away from the hardships and my tales take us on a tale to discover whether that is the case.......

I have no intention whatsoever of publishing it. It is just for myself and my girlfriend and whoever else may be listening to tales of Vengard

Simple and free to use, i've been using it for at least 5 years. Trust me it's a massive help, you can have all kinds of book sizes and the quality of them is great. They also do packages as well, for ISBNs. I was once in WHSmith and Waterstones etc, and I think i'm still on Amazon (the reason I'm not now is because I withdrew my books as a choice, not lulu so they won't scam you). all thanks to them (plus you get a FREE ISBN for any book you upload, which means your work will be on lulu market place AND on amazon). Trust me, if you turn them down your missing out

My main story of the first novel with few words is that some heroes are in fight with of some guys who want to make the ghosts of ring(still don't have found the name but they are based on the nazgul) to return so they can destroy them before they colelct pwoer alone and attack years later while our heroes try to prevent them...
Also four wizards( spirits who each one has different colour, they are not five but more) play a big role in the plot with two(White,Purple) to be in the side of the guys who want the ghost of rings to return and the two others(Green,Indigo) aiding our heroes...
I started writing the first chapter...

Hi guys you all helped me a lot... I ahve finished my first chapter aqnd i am continue on...
I drew a map for the locations i have so far but i don't know how to take a pixture and uplaod it to my PC...
Anyway i painted a very bad copy on my Pc but i wanted to show it to you
