I mis-interpreted Dwarfish Names for Dwarf Cities...
:?

Tumunzahar & Gabilgathol

Interesting that you mention ARDA for the answers. I looked up Nogrod on ARDA and it has no mention of Tumunzahar

You could have found it under "Dwarves" ;-)
Quote:
The Dwarves had no settlement in Beleriand itself, but they built two mighty citadels in the Blue Mountains; Gabilgathol to the north and Tumunzahar to the south. These fortress-cities are better known by the Elvish versions of their names: Belegost and Nogrod.

The following part is hidden. Please be aware that I'm not trying to make fun of Brian, nor trying to hurt his (good) reputation. In case of over-sensibility, please do not look... :D
[spoiler]Or under Nogrod....

So... over to you again you... you... :E ... Brian... :-D

OH  C'mon, who would look in THAT column !!!!

QUESTION:
What was the name used by Ilúvatar that means The Universe.
This 'specific' word was used in his 'vision' before it was brought into existence.

Incorrect !
(Think 'Elven' words, not English).

Hard question, so clue: Only 2 letters in the answer.

4-part question again:

What are other names for he who is also called "oldest and fatherless"?

Give the name used by (1) Elves, (2) Dwarves, (3) Northern Men and (4) Hobbits.

Two part question.

Who said "Curse you and all halfings to death and darkness."?

Who said "That is ill news indeed. We shall all rue it bitterly, I fear. How came the folk of Thranduil to fail in their trust?" and what was he/she talking about?
