I haven't read the books of Tolkien...
I couldn't find them...
But now that i found them I want to buy them...
But this will keep me out of buying minis for half a year...
I think is worth to buy Lotr,Hobbit,Silmarilion,Children of Hurin,Unfinished tales and stay jalf a year without new minis...
What do you think?

I think you need to visit your local library. ;)

Yeah, that.

If, for some reason that is not an option, then just the Hobbit and the trilogy. The Silmarillion and all the other stuff is supplemental material, some of it quite good, but if you end up not reading or (somehow) not liking The Hobbit or LotR then there really isn't any point in the other stuff. If you do end up really getting into Middle Earth, the other books can be picked up later as you happen to come across them.

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings is a no brainer. I've read them 3 times and I'm pretty sure I'm on the low end on the read count here.
