So I was looking at every miniature released so far for The Hobbit and only the Rivendell Knights to my knowledge come with a banner. There have been no command sets just captains so are we meant to just make our own? It seems weird that some of the bigger armies lists like Erebor still don't have a banner bearer you can purchase. |

Just a guess here, not inside information: Rivendell Knights were seen with their banners in AUJ, so having them in the release would have made sense to GW and the licensors. While we did see banners for Dale and Erebor in the prologue section of AUJ, they were 'historic', from before the time of the film, so maybe someone decided to keep those aside for later. As for the current timeline banners and heraldry, my assumption is that we will see it at the Battle of the Five Armies and in whatever battle occurs around Dol Guldur, so I am not anticipating seeing any of those on sale until the final film is released. |

I guess that makes some sense. I just seems weird that almost every unit has the option for a banner but there aren't any manufactured. |

Yeh I can understand that but then that doesn't explain why there isn't a banner for the palace guards? Is there a banner option for the Lake Men? Because they also lack a banner bearer? |

Back to guesswork again: maybe under the license agreement for the Hobbit movies (which are much more complicated than they were for LotR as you have 3 film companies involved this time around instead of 1 and that is just for starters!) GW is not allowed to release stuff that does not appear in one of the films, and is also not allowed to release anything ahead of the movie release, to avoid spoilers. WETA's books are in the same bracket - some are only being let out in March whereas the others came out last December for DoS. |

We just have to be patient. There is no point in worrying about it. |

Yeah, the range isn't doing too badly. I expect it to recover even more after the third film. |

G.W. is sending out a tiny fraction of Hobbit miniatures to be displayed in stores compared to the hoards that were available during LOTR. Its good that the handful of stuff sold, but disturbing that they could not re-stock for an entire month! |

They restocked weekly and sold out repeatidly however I agree the amount displayed is less than half of what was displayed during The Lord of the rings. |

(They restocked weekly and sold out repeatidly however I agree the amount displayed is less than half of what was displayed during The Lord of the rings.[/quote]) Wow, great to hear that there is a decent level of interest over there! In Tunbridge Wells (though the staff are great guys) nothing is really moving, and there are still limited edition EFGT sets available! |
