Hi guys, I just ordered some Mahud raiders and I was wondering how to go about painting their skin. What colours should I use?

What I do is basecoat with dark flesh and highlight with a mix of dark flesh and snakebite leather. You could also add a wash of devlan mud.

I am going to paint mine with a basecoat of desert yellow, follew by rotting flesh and kommando khaki highlights, although it seems there going to be many methods.

It depends entirely how you want them to look. If you want them to look like the studio's models, you'll be needing bronzed flesh (r.i.p) or at least a mixed approximation of it.
It's weird, though - GW very obiously based their appearance on southern african tribesmen but then painted them up like slightly tanned white dudes. I think an african skintone would suit the models a lot better and give a stronger contrast and backdrop for the white feathers and warpaint.

I have a painting guide on the Painting Guides section for Haradrim so you can see some photo;s of the finished skin.
I used Bestial Brown for a base followed by adding more Elf Flesh, finishing with Devlan Mud glazes.

Thanks for all the ideas guys. i havent had a chance to paint my mahud yet, but i will soon.
@ Gandlaf the Grey that looks quite good, I might try that. Tough i might try to go even darker on some of the models also, especially the king as i want to put alot of warpaint on him.
