remove the helmet and sculpt a hood or hair instead ? (lot of work) a bit like the osgiliath veterans

A hood would make them tie into your rangers alot better. File off the pointy helmet, make a flat triangle out of greenstuff, and viola, instant hood. The flat part faces forward, the "back point" of the triangle is the back part of the hood. It's easy once you get the hang of it, and since you are putting the hood over the original head, you don't have to try and sculpt faces.
