Since the Faction of Rhun (known as Easterlings) has many things that use "dragon" in their name, and since it kinda makes sense, i d like to paint my Cave Drake in those Golden-bronze colours instead of the normal Green/white setup.
here s a guide i found for painting the Easterlings and was wondering if it could be aplied to the Cave Drake as well.

Any suggestions, on how to proceed ?

I like the idea of an Easterling dragon, but I wouldn't paint it gold. I would expect it to look unrealistic if it's scales appeared to be metal. Instead, I would paint it red, or perhaps black. Hmm, a black dragon, that sounds pretty cool...

That sure is one nice dragon ! :)

As for my Cave Drake, i was thinking of giving him that "shiny" metalic look of gold and Mithril. (drubrush and some washing), to give him that feeling of :
"Look at me i am a Cave Drake who sleeps on a pile of gold" :P
My first idea is to mix some type of red (nut sure which, but most likely something a bit darker, and two types of gold. This i would put on light mitrhill drybrush and after all of those things i woudl use one or another kind of wash and highlight some parts.

Somethign like this (dont mind the wings, just the core body with some darker gold)

Yeah it would be amazing. But the most difficult is to choose where to put gold and where red.

If you want gold as the base colour, I'd advise painting it silver to start as it goes on much nicer than gold paints in my experience. A nice brown wash would go over well too.
