Not sure if this is the right section, but I'm looking for advice on making some Game of Thrones themed armies. The first is a Stark army. Obviously there is already a Sean Bean model so that's easy. But who should go with him? Which models more closely resemble Stark Bannermen? I'd also want the rest of his family (Robb, Snow, Arya) but I'm not sure which models and stats to use. Also, their wolves. I'd be happy using a model from another gaming system, for example, but using a LoTRs Hero stat line for them. Basically I'd like models that look like the GoTs characters, but still have a legal army. The second army I wanted to do are the Lannisters. Tywin, Tyrion, Jamie, Cersei, etc. I think the Eomer model would make a good Jamie Lannister, and Cersei could possibly be a spell caster (Transfix is right up her alley). I don't expect someone to do all the work for me, but if there are already resources out there or if you have any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it! |

Darksword Miniatures make a licensed range of miniatures for the Song of Ice and Fire series. You should consider them first. http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/grrm.htm |

darksword are expensive though and if you are outside the UK, postage really hurts. I like their models, but cant justify £25ish for one model that I cant use day to day. Even GW don't charge that much per model. |

Look for historical miniatures around the War of the Roses period for your general troops in my opinion. |

I thought of this before too, and I considered a few things. Model-wise, I'd use Rangers of Arnor for Night's Watch, Aragorn for Jon Snow (sculpt a fur cloak on). Arvedui as the Lord Commander of the Nights Watch (forgotten his name, but he'd look right). For Cersei, maybe a Galadriel model? Wargs for wolves, obviously, and maybe some of the Dunlendings with armour for the Wildlings. Barrow-wights or Twilight Ringwraiths would make good White Walkers. I'd consider looking at the Warhammer Bretonnian models if you wanted Knights or Peasant mobs, and consider using some Empire models too. They may not scale evenly together with LOTR models, but they'd look appropriate. |

My favourite is Jon Snow. |
