Has anyone bought any of the bits that gripping beast sells? I am considering buying the following: http://www.grippingbeast.com/product.php?ItemID=2301 and use them for goblin conversions. I love the idea of goblins with picks and shovels as weapons haha. But also, with variant weapon rules now it will be nice to switch up my static swordsmen for some more interesting loadouts. To my question, do any of you guys think the bits will be a proper size? I have no problem cutting down the hafts but i wonder if they will look fine as one handed and two handed weapons. Thanks! |

Hiya, I've bought quite a bit from gripping beast over the years and its good stuff. Generally the weapons from the packs are a little big for LotR models, but could easily pass for 2 handed weapons. I've struggled to get them to connect nicely though, which will be an even bigger issue with the goblins small hands. You really wanted to be cutting a weapon off at a models wrist and connecting it that way, rather than trying to fit a weapon to a hand. I've got to take photos for a trade so I'll get some of the weapons packs next to goblins tonight probably. |

I have those Tools, and I really like them (though I didn't use them yet). The size is good for man-sized models, but you might indeed need to cut down the shaft a little for Goblins. I think they would be best as two-handed weapons though, and not so much as one-handed weapons, though I suppose it could work if you cut down the hammer a lot for example. |
