(I hope that I am opening the thread under the correct topic) I would like to cast/mold (i am not sure for the correct word) some parts like Rohan shields, Uruk's pikes and stuff like that. I d like you to suggest me something as economic as possible to make those things. If it makes a good realistic result also, would be perfect then! I know there are similiar threads but i dont have much money to spend atm and this is not for a big number of castings, for example the maximum 50 parts. Cheers as always |

Don't want to ruin your party but I'm not sure you can just go and cast things that are GW's intellectual property. Maybe it's OK for personal use but someone will have to clarify. As for actual products, look in the Tomes of Wisdom, I believe there is an article reviewing a product like the one you are looking for. |

Oh of course and it is for personal use i have no intention to copy something that belongs to GW for illegal purposes. I just want to fix my models cause i ve lost some parts of em! Isn't this legit? maybe the bad word here is "casting" please correct my mistake if so and replace this word with "Sculpting"........ I would not like products like viking shields to replace those missing, i think that trying to create something more familiar to the one lost would be better. Also they sell em in huge numbers per packet that i do not need to use.. |

I'd go with instant mold for a beginning.. not sure though if you can "cast" pikes.. they might be too fragile. |

The rest of it can be easy replaced with a paperclip having the correct intersection or even wood (tried both with excellent results). Yeah this is what i was searching for. I am still not sure if detail will appear and how much of em... |

I used instant mold for shields (as base decoration, etc.) and was pretty happy with the detail of the casts |

I'm using instant mood, and that is enough for me. It has god details. |
