Does anyone have an idea for a mounted Elfhelm conversion. I am not sure what would look cool/appropriate, I want to do a good job of it because he is probably my favourite Rohan hero from the books.
So far I have thought of
- a Royal Guard model as a base (remove helmet)
- a Son of Eorl (Add helmet and remove axe)
- Outrider (somehow remove the bow and arrows)
- Use Eorl the Young (replace the spear? or move arm pose)
Do any of those seem good or is there another alternative?
Cheers

I like the Royal Guard or Eorl models are the best idea

As he is a Marshal who whas in the frontline of several important battles I would find the model of Eorl the young With a headswap befitting. (the mounted version of course !) A rohan royal guard is also possible, but in my view that would be more appropiate for captains of the guard, and not for marshal's like eomer and Elfhelm.

Since he was a marshal how about eomer or theodred? they both have the same armor that fits the rohan marshal rank

I'd say Theodred head swap with ... an elf, for obvious reasons.

Theodred with RRG head swap would be suiting I guess.

Other than that, what about mounted Dernhelm (Eowyn) as base model?

Ok so Theodred/Eomer which ever I can easily/cheaply get then cut off the head and put on a Royal Guard head. I've also go a few circular shields which are slightly bigger than the regular Rohan one which would be appropriate for Elfhelm since Erkenbrand and Eomer's shields are larger. Also a greenstuff cape to finish off the conversion.
I will put up a pic of my progress when I begin.
Cheers fellas.
