Nope. Best primer around for both metal and plastic. I'm not kidding. Try it. NEW YORK ISLANDERS 1980,1981,1982,1983 NHL CHAMPIONS. A REAL DYNASTY. 19 STRAIGHT PLAYOFF SERIES WINS. A RECORD THAT WILL NEVER BE BROKEN. |

Haha alright Im not going to get into the debate between hockey from the 80s play style, the next time a team will have success close to the current Hawks, and salary cap because we could go on forever... I mean... I hope youre not mocking me or being insulting purposefully. Hard to tell through text. Anyway also hard to follow hockey that happened when I wasnt alive. I wish the current Islanders all the luck. I like their play style and roster. And I will try the primer. |

Not messing with you about the primer. It goes on nice and thin because it's cheap paint. If you are priming metal figures, heat them up with a hair dryer first before spraying. The paint will melt into the hot figure and form a "skin" over which you can apply paint. NEVER NEVER spray on a humid day. Got that....... NEVER. As for Hockey: Dude, I saw Bobby Hull & Stan Mikita play at MSG back in the 6 team league days. That's how far back, I go. Those Isles teams were the best I ever saw. Hats off to the Hawks for winning the Cup. Different era's are hard to compare. Could the Isles have kept all 17 players that won 4 Cups with them in the salary cap era....NOPE. But you play by the rules you're given. And thanks for Nick Leddy. |

@nevins I bought it and used it and wow it is nice. Used it on a cool cloudy day and it does look very well because of the quality ahaha. And yeah man can't argue that that and other teams were better. In a series of 7 now who knows maybe the Hawks would get swept haha. But I'm 26 and the oldest team I've had was Roenick, Amonte, Belfour, Savard, etc era. Other than that we were in the abyss for years haha. And yeah...Leddy....I was aggravated we got rid of him he's a good player. Quenville is overrated. He's good but he mismanages guys like that a lot. I hope the Isles do well. I like Tavares Okposo Leddy of course. Few others. Loved how they shut Ovi down haha. Their checking line is fun to watch. |

I've had good success with Krylon as well...it's relatively cheap, it's available everywhere in the US, and you can get it in black, white, grey or brown. I prefer grey but they all work pretty good... |

I have had very good luck with the Valspar brand Premium primer at lowes, it comes in white, grey and black. This is not a sandable primer, it covers well without hiding details. I just did some infinity miniatures with it and all the detail is still very visible. I do not do the typical "sweep" over the miniature when I prime though. I use "puffs" directly onto the miniature, like they do here. Valspar also make "paint and primer" in a similar can in a huge variety of colors. I have yet to try it. I also use Vallejo primer and brush it on. Depends entirely on how many models I am painting at the time. |

I have never had a problem with Rust-olem. |
