I havnt played LOTR in about 3 years but i am really intrested in a return back to the hobby....

I saw a post saying that the game has changed so i would like to know how to find out details...

Also the place i would play at 3 years ago called gamesworkshop is no longer there so i was wondering if there was any place in phoenix arizona that conitues to play

The game hasn't changed essentially, but there is a new game system altogether, called War of the Ring. You can read all about it in the above message board that goes by the same name. Basically the game lets you fight big battles; groups of eight or more miniatures are treated, and act, like a single miniature, so that games using lots of models go faster (as opposed to the usual Strategy Battle Game system which used Legions of Middle-earth for bigger games.

That's only a very brief explanation, you will be better off reading the rules and/or asking questions in the "War of the Ring" board as mentioned.
