Hey everyone! Decided I'd make an account seen as I find myself browsing this website quite regularly. I've been collecting LOTR models since the BGiME magazines just over 10 years ago! I loved playing the game back then with my uncle who introduced me to LOTR and the BGiME magazines. I have a ton of models and have only recently started playing properly (other than all that time ago) at a new gaming club just up the road from where I live.
I look forward to talking with you guys!

I have way too many models, but the army I've been using at the club is a Uruk Hai army. Not many, but all I could salvage for a small battle.

12 Uruk Hai scouts w/ Lurtz (the 4 with just swords I attached shields from spare bits i have)

5 Uruk Hai Berserkers w/ Uruk captain

Saruman

Like i said, not many, but me and the other guy playing both hadn't played for a while, so we were getting to grips with it all.

I really like the new Erebor Dwarves, thinking of starting a dwarf army :D

Thank you for your warm welcoming!

Thanks :) I like yours, and your painted Radagast, excellent work! I'm not really a good painter, and can never paint a model I myself am happy with, apart from my fellowship Boromir I finished last week! Currently I'm making my way through the fellowship models, and after I have the Balin's Tomb Diorama to paint up. (If you've seen it its the one I got from the subscription of BGiME)

Welcome to the forum Leoneth :) Good to hear that I'm not the only one seriously tempted to fork out and get a Dwarf army on the go, led by Thror no less I think! A BGiME subscription certainly sounds like it was a good idea, and if I could obtain the license (fat chance!) I would start a new one and give away a free mini with every issue, I know the fantastic members of this forum could easily fill it up with content.

Good luck with the painting! I think most of us have a huge backlog, I for one have an Isengard army and the Goblin Town boxed set ready to work through but find myself busy working on our painting service projects, so progress tends to be slow. A good thing to spur me on is the onering monthly painting challenge. This months starts tonight and is a warband challenge, which means I'm looking at getting Goblin King and 7 Gobbos completed from my own personal backlog, check it out :)

Of course any tips, advise anything you need the members of this forum are fantastic and quick to respond so you're in good hands.

Welcome, Leoneth! Dwarves are good stuff :) although I never had any myself... they just look epic. I think the old dwarf warriors box could use other helmets though. Oh well :-D

Have fun!

Being a member of this site will soon get you better :-) There are many great painters on here who can encourage and give you tips to improve.
