there's a small games group in a space above Paris Texas on High Street in Kilkenny, its called the War Forge. Its a small shop ran by gamers, they haven't been going for long but they are playing WH, 40k, D&D and LOTR. They Stock games workshop miniatures and paints as well as comics. There open all week and I think they have games every Friday night and all day Saturday. There are veterans and noob's alike so its worth checking out the craic if your in the area.

Good luck with it - unfortunately I am rarely down that way though I do have fond memories of Kilkenny (nice castle and there is or was an award winning cafe with the most scrumptious french eclairs...)
